Billing and limits

Billing is managed for your Kumoto account. Open Settings → Billing to view the active plan, billing period, renewal date, usage, and plan limits.

Your Kumoto plan covers the platform features and limits shown in the dashboard. The VPS instances that run your workloads are provided and billed separately by the infrastructure provider you choose.

Understand usage and limits

Plan limits are checked when you create resources, including projects and connected servers. The Billing page shows current usage alongside the limits that apply to your account.

If you reach a limit, existing resources continue to be visible and manageable, but you will need to change to a plan with more capacity before adding the restricted resource. Review expected growth before starting a new project or connecting additional servers, rather than waiting until a deployment is blocked by a limit.

Manage a subscription

From Settings → Billing, you can:

  • Choose a plan when the account has no active subscription.
  • Change the plan or billing period for an active subscription.
  • Review a scheduled plan change and when it takes effect.
  • Schedule cancellation at the end of the current billing period.
  • Reactivate a subscription that is scheduled for cancellation.

The page shows the current subscription status. If a payment needs attention, follow the prompt there to update the payment details or complete payment.

Payment methods and invoices

Kumoto uses Stripe to process subscription payments. Select Manage billing details to open the Stripe billing portal, where you can update payment methods and billing or tax details, and download past invoices.

Keep these details current, particularly before a renewal date or when the person responsible for finance changes. Stripe's portal is the authoritative place for payment instruments and invoice records; Kumoto does not display sensitive payment-card information.

Cancel or reactivate

Cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current billing period. Your subscription remains active until the date displayed in the Billing page, and recurring renewal is then stopped.

Before cancelling, make sure your team understands the effect on its Kumoto access and deployment workflows. If you change your mind before the end date, choose Keep subscription active to reactivate it and continue automatic renewal.

tip

Keep your VPS provider billing and Kumoto subscription ownership clear within your team. They are separate accounts with separate invoices and support paths.
